CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- David Carr appears likely to make his second straight start at quarterback for the Carolina Panthers after Jake Delhomme missed practice again Thursday.
While coach John Fox would not identify a starter for Sunday's game at New Orleans, Delhomme hasn't thrown a football since straining his right elbow on Sept. 23 against Atlanta.
Carr completed 19 of 41 passes for 155 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Carolina's 20-7 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Linebackers Dan Morgan and Adam Seward also missed practice on Thursday. Morgan has a partially torn Achilles' tendon, while Seward has missed the past two games with a calf injury.
Running back DeShaun Foster returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's workout because of a coach's decision.
