SAN DIEGO (April 19, 2005) -- Backup defensive end DeQuincy Scott signed a one-year contract to remain with the San Diego Chargers.

Scott, a restricted free agent, is entering his fourth season after joining the Chargers as a rookie free agent from Southern Mississippi in 2001.

He had 19 tackles, 1½ sacks and two pass deflections last year.
