Colts WR Stokley dislocates shoulder in Japan

Colts wide receiver Brandon Stokley dislocated his left shoulder during practice for the American Bowl in Japan and could be sidelined up to four weeks.

TOKYO (Aug. 4, 2005) -- Colts wide receiver Brandon Stokley dislocated his left shoulder during practice for the American Bowl in Japan and could be sidelined up to four weeks.

Stokley, who caught Peyton Manning 's record 49th touchdown pass last year, might miss Indianapolis' regular-season opener against Baltimore on Sept. 11.

"It's going to be tight, it sounds like," Colts coach Tony Dungy said.

As Manning's third option last season, Stokley caught 68 passes for 1,077 yards and 10 touchdowns.
