MIAMI -- The Miami Dolphins have signed free-agent cornerback Eric Green to a multiyear deal, the team announced Thursday.
Terms of the contract weren't disclosed.
Green comes to the Dolphins from the Arizona Cardinals, with whom he had spent his entire four-year NFL career. He's a likely replacement in Miami's starting lineup for Andre Goodman, who signed a five-year contract with the Denver Broncos on March 1.
Green, 26, started in nine games and appeared in 13 for the Cardinals last season. He had 32 tackles and one interception.
A third-round draft pick in 2005 out of Virginia Tech, Green has 167 tackles, two interceptions, seven forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries in his NFL career.
Green grew up in South Florida. He was born in Pahokee and attended Clewiston High School.
