The Miami Dolphins signed guard Toniu Fonoti and waived tight end Jason Rader. Fonoti, a second-round draft choice by San Diego in 2002, has started 33 games with the Chargers, Minnesota and Tampa Bay.

DAVIE, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2006) -- The Miami Dolphins signed guard Toniu Fonoti and waived tight end Jason Rader.

Fonoti, a second-round draft choice by San Diego in 2002, has started 33 games with the Chargers, Minnesota and Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers released him shortly before this season.

Rader played in five games this year, including one start, and had no receptions.
