It may only be March, but three Patriots players are preparing for prime-time competition this month.
New England quarterbacks Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs, along with cornerback Marcus Jones, will tee off in Mexico at the third annual NFL Players Association Classic on Tuesday, March 25, and Wednesday, March 26.
From rising NFL stars to veteran champions, the tournament will feature 18 foursomes competing in a team-based format.
Maye will serve as captain of his team, which includes Dobbs, the newly-signed Patriot, former teammate Jacoby Brissett, and close friend Sam Howell. Jones, meanwhile, will compete on Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey's team.
All three Patriots players are experienced golfers, with Dobbs hosting an annual ASTROrdinary Golf Classic for charity.
The invite-only tournament will take place at El Camaleón Golf Course at Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico—the same course that made history in 2007 as the first in Latin America to host a
PGA Tour event.
The 18-hole, par-72 championship course, designed by legendary golfer Greg Norman, uniquely integrates ecosystems such as tropical jungle, mangroves, freshwater canals, and oceanfront
landscapes.
Prime-time coverage of the NFLPA Classic at Mayakoba will air on the Golf Channel, giving fans a look at some of the league's best golfers in this made-for-TV event.
