The Patriots just won one of the most heart-pounding season openers with Jimmy Garoppolo leading the way. With the 24-year-old and wide receiver Chris Hogan completing a touchdown on the first drive, NFL fans quickly realized the team would be just fine against the Arizona Cardinals.

NFL fans (many of them well known Pats lovers) on social media, particularly Twitter, exploded with excitement as the young quarterback made his first start in a regular season game.
