New York Giants punter Jeff Feagles tied the NFL record for consecutive games played when he appeared in his 282nd straight game Sunday.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (Nov. 20, 2005) -- New York Giants punter Jeff Feagles tied the NFL record for consecutive games played when he appeared in his 282nd straight game Sunday.

Feagles tied the record set by former Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Jim Marshall, who played from 1960-79, when he punted after the Giants' first possession in the first quarter.

Entering the game, Feagles, in his 18th season, held NFL career records for punts (1,404) and punts downed inside the 20 (445). He is second in career punting yardage with 58,516 yards, behind Sean Landeta's 59,224.

In addition to the Giants, Feagles has played for New England, Philadelphia, Arizona and Seattle.
