NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Vince Young returned to practice Thursday, though the Tennessee Titans' quarterback split the work with backup Kerry Collins in what coach Jeff Fisher calls a "huge step" in his recovery from a mildly strained right hamstring.
The Titans (6-7) will host the Miami Dolphins (7-6) on Sunday needing a win to keep their faint playoff hopes alive, and Young is 6-1 since returning to the starting job. Fisher says Young still is dealing with a sore right knee that knocked him out of practice a week ago in addition to the hamstring the quarterback pulled during last weekend's 47-7 victory over the St. Louis Rams.
Young calls himself a quick healer.
Fisher says he hopes Young takes another big step Friday, but the titans have to see how the quarterback's leg responds to the work that he managed to do Thursday.
