INDIANAPOLIS - Despite earning Pro Bowl honors in his first year in New England, Brian Waters is at that point in an NFL career where every game could be his last.
After playing in his first Super Bowl Sunday night at Lucas Oil Stadium, an experience that unfortunately ended in a loss, the 13-year veteran wasn't ready to discuss his own future. He said he'd take a couple weeks to think things over before deciding on whether he'll continue to play.
He did sign a two-year deal when he joined the Patriots as a free agent this summer.
One aspect of the future that Waters is sure of, though, is where the Patriots are going as a team. He's sure that New England will be back in the Super Bowl.
"This is a young football team," Waters said. "This will not be the last time you see this football team in this game."
