Another Patriot is reportedly trading his red-silver-and-blue jersey for another one. The New York Giants, according to media reports, have signed free agent linebacker Jonathan Casillas to a three-year contract worth $10.5 million.
New England traded with Tampa Bay for Casillas midway through last season. The veteran picked up the Patriots defense very quickly thereafter and contributed significantly on special teams as well as at linebacker, mostly as a reserve and in sub packages.
Casillas seems to be joining former Patriots teammate Shane Vereen, who is also said to be heading to the Giants via free agency.
