EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (Dec. 7, 2005) -- Cornerback Terrell Buckley signed with the New York Giants, who placed cornerback Will Peterson on injured reserve.
The 34-year-old Buckley has 50 career interceptions in 13 seasons in the NFL, and played most recently with the New York Jets last season. He also has been with Green Bay, Denver and Miami, but has not played this season.
Peterson aggravated a back injury in the third week of the season against San Diego and has not played since. He practiced for the first time last week but experienced pain, coach Tom Coughlin said.
"We felt he wasn't able to get any consistency together because of the injury," Coughlin said.
