EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (March 9, 2005) -- Quarterback Jim Miller signed with the New York Giants as a backup to as Eli Manning.
The Giants announced on the deal on their Web site, but details of the contract were not disclosed.
The 34-year-old Miller has played in the NFL for 11 years. and spent last season as Tom Brady's backup with the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.
Miller previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Manning, the No. 1 selection in the 2004 draft, took over from Kurt Warner as the starter in the 10th game last season. Warner signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
