FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Gillette Stadium officials are proud to announce that they will host the New England Country Music Festival for the third consecutive year on July 16, 2006 and this year's show promises to be bigger and better than ever. Award-winning artists Kenny Chesney and Gretchen Wilson will return to Gillette Stadium for the "Ultimate Encore" after headlining last summer's festival. The one-day concert event will include performances by the multi-platinum selling duo Big & Rich, last year's American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley, among others.
Tickets for the Third Annual New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium will go on sale this Saturday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Fans may purchase tickets exclusively through Ticketmaster online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling either (617) 931-2000 or (508) 931-2000.
Last year, more than 50,000 country music fans attended the music festival at Gillette Stadium. It was the biggest country music show ever held in New England and the biggest one-day concert event in the region in 2005.
