Former Patriots strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash wasn't out of work very long.
Let go earlier this week in New England, Nash reportedly landed Friday with the Lions in the same role.
Nash joins a handful of former Patriots employees in Detroit, led by Lions new GM Bob Quinn, who was formerly New England's Director of Pro Scouting. The group also includes Kevin Anderson, now Lions Chief of Staff/Assistant to the GM after leaving his role as Director of Player Development in Foxborough.
Nash had been with the Patriots since 2005, first as the assistant strength and conditioning coach (2005-10) and then taking over the top job after Mike Woicik's departure.
It's been a busy week of changes in New England. The team let offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo walk away after his contract ran out following two seasons with the team, though he quickly found a job in San Diego. Linebackers coach Patrick Graham left to join the Giants as defensive line coach, a role he'd also held previously with the Patriots. The team's Medical Director, Matthew Provencher, is also leaving.
While there have been no announcements in terms of replacements for any of the departures, there are certainly in-house candidates. That's especially true in the strength and conditioning area, where assistant Moses Cabrera could easily be in line for a promotion heading into what will be his sixth year with the team in 2016.
