KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 18, 2005) -- The Kansas City Chiefs reached a one-year agreement with backup safety Shaunard Harts.
Harts played in all 16 games last season, starting in six. He made 58 tackles, 34 of them solo.
Kansas City acquired the Boise State standout in the seventh round of the 2001 draft. In 51 games with the Chiefs, he has 163 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions with one touchdown, two fumble recoveries and five forced fumbles.
