INDIANAPOLIS – UConn may have suffered through a disappointing 5-7 season but four Huskies were invited to the Combine nonetheless. Cornerbacks Dwayne Gratz and Blidi Wreh-Wilson and outside linebackers Sio Moore and Trevardo Williams all were in Indy over the weekend.

Moore and Williams can get after the passer and are projected to go between the second or third round while the corners are expected to go a bit later with Wreh-Wilson the higher-regarded of the pair.

Wreh-Wilson was impressive talking to the media, articulately discussing his play and a variety of topics. He struck a serious tone when asked about his late teammate, Jasper Howard, whom he replaced in the starting lineup after Howard's tragic death in 2009.

"I mean, it really resonated with me the other day. When I was on the plane, I actually started thinking, and on my headphones, I actually still have - it's a 'JH' sticker on it, and I'm looking at it, and I'm just thinking like, 'Man, he's seen a lot of guys do things from the sky, and the guy that had to replace him - I know he's watching down on me," Wreh-Wilson said. "He's been watching down on me for years now, and everything I do, I just try to carry his mantra of 'Live 365' and be the best that I can every day."

On a lighter note, Wreh-Wilson was asked about his peculiar first name and explained that it means "trouble."

"Yeah. But my dad's a philosophy professor, so he kind of put his own little twist on it," Wreh-Wilson said. "In Liberia, at the time there was a war, so that was the trouble, and by having me, I'd be the bringer of the peace."

With four talented players at the Combine, no one could blame the Huskies defense for their losing record.
