In Case You Missed It: Day 1 of the NFL Draft

In case you missed it we wrap up all our coverage from Day 1 of the NFL Draft and give you the inside scoop on the newest member of the New England Patriots team!

And with that, the New England Patriots have a new member of its football team. Bill Belichick and the Patriots selected defensive tackle, Dominique Easley with the 29th overall pick of NFL Draft. Easley is known as an explosive player unfortunately suffered two ACL injuries during his time at the University of Florida but he says he's healthy and is excited to be a Patriot.

Paul Perillo believes Easley fits perfectly with the Patriots' plans, but Andy Hart says the team still has a lot of needs to fill as they enter day two of the draft. But don't take their word for it - hear what Bill Belichick had to say about the team's first-round draft pick.

Before the Draft began tonight, there were reports floating around that the Patriots are in the process of working out a trade with the Texans that would send quarterback Ryan Mallett to Houston. When asked about the possible trade during his press conference, Bill Belichick neglected to confirm or deny the report. It could certainly be something to look out for heading into day two. Additionally, former Patriots first-round pick, Willie McGinest was here in Foxborough for the draft. He spoke to the media about his time here in New England before later joining Robert Kraft for a quick Q&A at the Patriots' Official Draft Party.
