En un partido no apto para cardÃacos, los Patriots finalmente salieron airosos 16-10 frente a los Buffalo Bills.
Un encuentro donde la ofensiva de New England tuvo una muy discreta actuación. Tom Brady solo completó 18 de 39 pases para 150 yardas, 0 TD y 1 INT; alcanzando un 'QB rating' de 45.9, el más bajo de su carrera en una victoria.
El juego de pases tuvo como lÃder a James White (8 recepciones, 57 yardas, 1 TD).
En lo que se refiere al juego por tierra, este solo sumó 74 yardas. Una discreta actuación que no le dio mucha ayuda a Brady para desarrollar su juego de pases.
Sony Michel lideró al grupo de RBs con solo 63 yardas en 17 acarreos.
Contrariamente al juego discreto de la ofensiva, la defensa tuvo una buena actuación, siendo la que al final llevó al equipo al triunfo con buenas actuaciones de varios de sus miembros.
El esquinero J.C. Jackson destacó con 2 intercepciones. También, como miembro de los equipos especiales, Jackson bloqueó un despeje que fue llevado a la zona de anotación por Matthew Slater.
Devin McCourty continuó con sus intercepciones logrando una más esta tarde. Ya van 4 partidos seguidos en donde el DB logra una intercepción.
Por su parte, los QBs de los Bill fueron vÃctimas de capturas, 2 de Kyle VanNoy (de gran actuación), 1 de John Simon, de Jamie Collins y de Chase Winovich.
Buffalo terminó usando 2 QBs después de que Josh Allen recibiera un golpe en la cabeza por parte del DB Jonathan Jones, cuando el QB completaba una carrera de 7 yardas. Allen fue reemplazado por Matt Barkley.
Los QBs de Buffalo terminaron sus actuaciones completando 22 de 44 pases para 280 yardas y 4 INT.
Igualmente, el equipo de los Bills contó con un juego de carrera efectivo liderado por Fran Gore con 17 acarreos para 109 yardas. El movedizo QB Josh Allen sumó 5 acarreos para 26 yardas y 1 TD.
