Jaguars, Norman agree to contract extension

Center Dennis Norman and the Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to a contract extension. Norman, a 6-foot-5, 312-pound Princeton graduate, started the final five games of the season after Brad Meester had season-ending surgery to repair torn left biceps.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 2, 2006) -- Center Dennis Norman and the Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to a contract extension.

Norman, a 6-foot-5, 312-pound Princeton graduate, started the final five games of the season after Brad Meester had season-ending surgery to repair torn left biceps.

Norman, a seventh-round draft pick in 2001 by Seattle, played three seasons with the Seahawks before signing with the Jaguars in December 2004.

Terms of the deal were not released.
