Sean Considine, Safety
(On the game and possibly being eliminated from the playoffs)
"It hurts. We came in here fully expecting to compete and win the game. Obviously we got manhandled and it was a physical beating. We need to give the Patriots credit they showed up and kicked our butts up and down the field. There are a million excuses I would love to talk about right now, but we just didn't get the job done. It hurts but we have one more left next week. We will find out what we are made of and see how we turn this thing around and come out next week and compete up in Cleveland."
(On the Patriots)
"They came out firing, it was a game they needed and a game we needed. We have a long way to go to get to the level that we need to be at in order to compete at a high level in this league. Hopefully this will be a great learning experience. We have a lot of young guys on this team and some older guys too and this needs to be a learning experience to show what can happen if you don't show up in this league. You will have outcomes like we had today."
(On ending next week on a good note)
"It is very important to end on a good note and that is going to be our focus this week and we are going to need to come right back on Wednesday. We can't dwell on a loss like this. It is not going to be an easy thing to do with the way the game went for us today. We have to move on and we have one last opportunity to leave a good impression on the city of Jacksonville and one another. We need to take next week into the off season and improve upon it."
Brad Meester, Center
(On being "manhandled" by the Patriots)
"We just didn't do a very good job. We have to do better. Offensively, it always starts up front. We have to create holes for [Maurice Jones-Drew], we have to protect David [Garrard], that's where it all starts and we didn't get it done today."
(On not being able to get a win in the last three weeks)
"It's been hard. You have to give this team credit. We are a group that sticks together and keeps fighting. It's been hard losing these last three games but I know we will continue to fight."
Daryl Smith, Linebacker
(On how important it is to pull out a win next week.)
"We only have one more chance, that's guaranteed. We just have to go out play our hardest and just get a win. It's been an up and down year."
(On if this game shows that there is still a way to go to get to where the Jaguars need to be)
"Definitely. In any game you win or lose, you can see a lot of things that you can do better. We'll be back next week. Some of the things we didn't do well on, we'll just try and do a better job next week."
