The New England Patriots were handed a 24-14 loss by the New York Jets Monday night at Foxboro Stadium.

The key moment in the Patriots loss came with 2:29 remaining in the third quarter. Drew Bledsoe, after guiding his team deep into Jets territory, was pressured up the middle by Moe Lewis and uncorked a pass intended for wide receiver Shawn Jefferson. But the pass was intercepted in the back-corner of the endzone by cornerback Aaron Glenn.

The interception proved to spark the Jets, as Vinny Testaverde capped a 17-play, 80-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown pass to tight end Kyle Brady. John Hall's extra point gave the Jets a 17-14 lead with 8:54 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Perhaps the devastating blow to the Patriots (4-2), was that the scoring drive lasted 8:35.

The Jets, who improve to 3-3, put the game out of reach on their ensuing drive when Testaverde connected on a 43-yard touchdown pass to Dedric Ward for a 24-14 lead and final.
