NEW YORK (Feb. 21, 2007) -- Jets coach Eric Mangini finalized his staff for next season, with former New England receivers coach Brian Daboll and former Miami defensive line coach Dan Quinn among the additions.
Daboll joins the Jets as their quarterbacks coach after seven seasons with the Patriots, including the past five coaching the Patriots' wide receivers.
Quinn spent the past two years coaching the Dolphins' defensive line and will serve in the same capacity for the Jets. He also was a defensive coach for San Francisco from 2001-04, and coached the defensive line at Hofstra from 1996-2000, including spending the last season as the Pride's defensive coordinator. He replaces Danny Marcin, who was signed to a contract extension as a defensive assistant. Marcin is in his fourth season with the Jets and his 11th as an NFL coach.
The Jets also hired Mike MacIntyre as their secondary coach, Sal Alosi as their strength and conditioning coach, and Jerome Henderson as assistant secondary coach.
MacIntyre spent the past four seasons working with Dallas' secondary. He replaces Corwin Brown, who was recently hired as Notre Dame's defensive coordinator.
Alosi replaces Markus Paul, who was the Jets' strength and conditioning coach the past two seasons. Alosi was an assistant strength coach with New York for four years before becoming Atlanta's head strength coach last season.
Henderson also serves as New York's director of player development.
