Q: On yesterday's range of emotions—
TB: I was disappointed, but it wasn't Green Bay's fault and it wasn't the Jets' fault. We had our chances but just didn't take advantage of them earlier on. But, yesterday was a good way to finish the season because we gave ourselves a chance, the best chance we had. Last week, the best thing to do was beat the Jets. Then, all we could do was to beat the Dolphins and we beat them. We needed help from somebody else, and that's not a situation you want to be in. You don't want to have to depend on somebody else. We were in that situation and they didn't help us out.
Q: On the season as a whole—
TB: We kept fighting the whole year. I give credit to a lot of the guys on the team. We just didn't quite have enough to get it done. We had some slumps. We hit one slump then we had a second slump. You might be able to get by with one slump, but two slumps, you really can't survive that. We just couldn't overcome that second one, losing those two games to the Jets and Tennessee. It was just too much to overcome. If we had won some of those games against the other AFC teams earlier in the year, like Denver and San Diego, we would have a chance to be in (the playoffs). It took us too long to get out of our slumps when we weren't playing well and that ended up costing us in the end.
Q: On his 97-catch season—
TB: It's still disappointing. You expect to be playing next week. Here we are and we're not playing next week, so all of the individual things mean little especially when you're not playing in the playoffs and playing for the big trophy. The individual things mean so little right now, but I think it was a good effort, playing hurt most of the year, just sucking it up and playing tough and playing hard football. That's what you've got to do. Injuries are going to come in football and you've just got to find a way to overcome them and get out there and help your team win.

Q: On yesterday's range of emotions—
RP: It kind of felt like false hopes. You're all excited and on a high and then you get home and a few hours later, you're feeling bad. But, you really can't be mad because we had opportunities. We can't leave our destiny in someone else's hands, and that's what it came down to. We didn't play well enough to control our own fate.
