DAVIE, Fla. (March 8, 2006) -- The Miami Dolphins met with two former Pro Bowl linemen seeking a new team -- center Kevin Mawae and defensive tackle Sam Adams.
Mawae was released by the New York Jets and Adams by the Buffalo Bills in recent salary-cap moves.
Mawae's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed his client's trip to Miami. Bartelstein said several other teams are interested in Mawae, but no further visits have been scheduled.
A six-time Pro Bowl center, Mawae is 35 and missed the final 10 games of 2005 with a triceps injury.
Adams, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, also missed time because of injuries last season and is 32. His agent, Angelo Wright, said he expects the Dolphins to make an offer.
