WEEK 1: Patriots 27, Chiefs 42

The Kansas City Chiefs spoiled the New England Patriots Super Bowl LI Banner ceremony with a 42-27 victory. The only bright spot for New England was a three-rushing touchdown performance by RB Mike Gillislee. He became the first Patriots player to score three touchdowns in his debut.

WEEK 2: Patriots 36, Saints 20

The New England Patriots rebounded in a dominant offensive manner after an opening day loss with a 36-20 road win over the New Orleans Saints. A big day by QB Tom Brady and TE Rob Gronkowski helped set the pace for the win. Brady set an NFL record with his 52nd NFL game with at least 300 yards and three touchdowns, finishing the game 30-of-39 for 447 yards and three touchdowns. It was Brady's 10th 400-yard game.

WEEK 3: Patriots 36, Texans 33

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks caught a 25-yard toe-tapping touchdown with 23 seconds to play and then added a two-point play to give the Patriots a 36-33 come-from-behind victory over the visiting Houston Texans. QB Tom Brady, who finished 25-of-35 for 378 yards and five touchdowns, led the Patriots on the game winning drive.

WEEK 4: Patriots 30, Panthers 33

The New England Patriots suffered their second home loss of the 2017 season when Carolina K Graham Gano drilled a 48-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Panthers to a 33-30 victory. The Patriots defense forced two turnovers but failed to hold Carolina QB Cam Newton and his targets in check. Brady finished the game 32-of-45 for 307 yards and two touchdowns.

WEEK 5: Patriots 19, Buccaneers 14

Quarterback Tom Brady threw for 303 yards and one touchdown and the Patriots defense made the plays they needed to make to stop the late-charging Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 19-14 road win on Thursday Night Football. The Patriots defense held on for a last play stop to secure the victory.

WEEK 6: Patriots 24, N.Y. Jets 17

Quarterback Tom Brady, who broke a tie with Brett Favre and Peyton Manning for the most regular season wins with 187, had to rally the Patriots from a 14-point deficit in the first half before holding on for a 24-17 victory against AFC East rival the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

WEEK 7: Patriots 23, Falcons 7

The New England Patriots defense came to life in a 23-7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in a Sunday Night Football game in foggy conditions at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots defense stopped the Falcons on three drives inside the New England 20-yard line with a blocked 37-yard field goal attempt by DL Cassius Marsh in the first quarter, a missed 36-yard field goal in the third quarter that hit the upright and a stop on a fourth-and-goal in the fourth quarter by LB Kyle Van Noy. QB Tom Brady finished 21-of-29 for 249 yards with two touchdown passes.

WEEK 8: Patriots 21, Chargers 13

Quarterback Tom Brady passed for 333 yards and a touchdown, and K Stephen Gostkowski kicked four field goals to help lead the Patriots to a 21-13 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. The victory put the Patriots at a 6-2 record for the fifth straight season at the mid-point of the year.
