(opening statement)
There's really not too much to say here this afternoon. The Titans did a better job than we did in every part of the game, every phase of the game. So, not a good day for us. We've got a lot of work to do here, a lot of football left to go. We just didn't do much of anything well today.
(on pass protection)
Like I said, we didn't really do much of anything well today, so everything was a problem.
(on third down defense)
They were better than we were in the area, along with a lot of other ones.
(on wide receiver Darius Jennings' opening kick return)
We didn't do a good job on our kickoff reach, didn't return the ball well.
(on what went well today)
I thought the Titans were clearly the better team. They did a good job. They deserved to win. They did, so.
(on if there were issues with footing)
Not that I'm aware of. Thought the field was in good shape.
(on moving forward from today's loss)
Yeah, we will move forward and worry about next week, next week.
(on if the plan was for wide receiver Josh Gordon to get more targets than the other wide receivers)
Yeah, we talked about this ad nauseam. Nothing has changed. We don't design passes to go to one guy unless it's a screen pass.
(on if he thought quarterback Tom Brady was effective today)
You'll have to ask Tom (Brady). Yeah, you'll have to ask Tom.
(on why he thinks the Titans were so effective in pressuring Tom Brady)
Yeah, I already covered it. They did a good job.
(on if today's result will change any Bye Week plans)
We will deal with this week, this week. Right now, we were focused on coming in here and playing this game. That's what we did. The game was over 10 minutes ago, so we will deal with next week, next week. We've been trying to focus on this game.

(on his thoughts on the Titans defense)
They did a good job. They executed well. Obviously, we didn't. It was just a bad day for all of us. We have to learn from it. We have to give them a lot of credit, they made a lot of plays. They kind of played from ahead. We were right where they wanted us to be. We just couldn't do enough early, offensively, to put any pressure on them. There was really no pressure on them all day.
(on what he feels contributed the most to the loss)
If you don't stay on the field, it's hard to score points. It's tough to play that way. We had poor execution. We did a bad job.
(on what happened on his catch from wide receiver Julian Edelman)
Yeah, I don't know what happened. I was a fish out of water.
(on whether he was having trouble with his footing on the field)
I wasn't. I was fine. I was wearing some long cleats, I just couldn't get my grip in the turf. We just didn't have a great day. There's probably a lot of things that we'll look at and wish we'd done a better job of. You go on the road in the NFL and you don't play your best football. You don't put any pressure on the other team. You don't score early. You don't stay on the field on third down. It's unlikely you're going to win. It's just a bad day.
(on whether the loss came from a good rush or good coverage from the Titans)
I think it's probably a mix of both. It's good rush and good coverage. They had a good plan and they did a good job of executing it. When you play from behind all day, it's not very ideal. We just didn't play well enough to make enough plays to score the touchdowns we needed to. It was just a bad day.
(on the importance of not taking the wins for granted)
It's hard to win in the NFL, so you can't take it for granted. I think it's hard to win. When you don't play well, you don't win.
(on what he saw from corner back Malcolm Butler)
I played against Malcolm (Butler) a lot. He's a good player. They have a good secondary. They have good safeties. They played well. I think they all played pretty well today. I can't say enough good things about Malcolm (Butler) and what he did for our team. I'm sure he'll do a great job here.
(on the lack of sustaining positive plays during the game)
We made some big plays. We had chunks, we just couldn't sustain anything. We'd make a good play and go backwards, make a big play and go backwards. When you're not able to sustain those things, you're going to fight uphill all week.
(on the upcoming Bye Week)
I think the coaches will do a lot of self-scout. I think we as players have to do the same thing. It was tough to lose this game, but hopefully we learn from it. All of these games are a little bit different. Every one that you play all year is a little bit different. The ones that we're going to play will be a little bit different. Winning football takes a lot of things. It takes a lot of good performances from a lot of people. Losing football is the exact opposite. Not that we do that but winning in the NFL is hard. You can't just show up expecting to win. That doesn't give the other team enough credit. Today we just played a bad game and you see what happens. Hopefully, there's more urgency as we go forward. The whole season is ahead of us and we'll see what we do with it.
(on the hits he took today)
I don't care about getting hit. I like to score points. I'll take a lot of hits and score points but taking hits and not scoring points means we're not doing enough good things right. Those guys played hard. Our guys up front played hard. We just didn't get enough good things going.
WIDE RECEIVER JOSH GORDON

(on how difficult the game was for the team from start to finish)
It was a grinder, for sure. We knew it was going to be a 60 minute game. We just came out a little slow, couldn't get our footing, and you can see the result of it.
(on how his hand and fingers are feeling)
My hand is fine, physically. You know, I feel good and blessed to walk away with it unharmed. So, I'm thankful for that.
(on his impressions of cornerback Adoree' Jackson and his play today)
He's a great returner, for sure. I didn't know he could return the ball like that, that well. He's a good young talent. I think he's got a lot of promise in this league.
(on how he would describe how the offense felt today being under pressure)
It did seem a little rushed, for sure. It's tough for me to give a good perspective. I'm not looking back and seeing the defensive line, but I think that's partially due to the fact I felt a little rushed.
PLAYERS IN THE LOCKER ROOM
RUNNING BACK SONY MICHEL
(on the offense as a whole)
We just couldn't get in a rhythm. We just have to execute better. That's it.
(on what went wrong offensively)
It's all us. It's all about us. We have to go out there and execute better than them. They had a great team, they were prepared, and they out-executed us.
(on how he felt physically)
I felt good.
(on how difficult the last few weeks have been for him personally)
It wasn't difficult at all. It's a process. It's a growing process. When you go through things, you have to go through that process, and you have to deal with it.
(on if it felt like the tide would eventually turn in this game even when the Patriots began losing early)
We had some plays, we had some not so good plays. It was just a mixture of both, and it is just hard to get into a rhythm when you have so many not so good plays.
(on if the Titans defense surprised him with any of their looks upfront)
No, I believe we were prepared. Coach prepared us for what we were going to see. We just had to go out there and execute.
(on how disruptive the Titans' pass rush was)
They did a great job rushing the passer. They came to play today.
DEFENSIVE BACK STEPHON GILMORE
(on the Titans offense)
They did a little bit of everything. They ran the ball, passed the ball. I just think we didn't play good as a whole.
(on his matchup with wide receiver Corey Davis)
I could have won that matchup a little bit more, but he made some plays today. I have to give my hats off to them.
(on the Patriots' performance last week being a complete opposite of today's performance)
It changes every week. You have to be prepared every week, and you have to play every week. No matter what you did last week, each week you have to take that approach. We didn't play good this week.
(on this week's practice)
We had a good week of practice. We just didn't play well today.
(on if he was surprised that quarterback Marcus Mariota targeted Corey Davis so much)
I wasn't surprised, he goes to him on film. He just made some plays today.
(on if Corey Davis did anything that he felt like was giving him trouble)
No, he just had a better day today.
CENTER DAVID ANDREWS
(on the play of the Patriots offensive line)
We put ourselves in some bad positions and didn't play the game we wanted to play it. Third-and-long, second-and-long, and when you do that and you're down, it kind of opens the floodgates for their defense and they can kind of play recess and they did a good job, and we didn't do a good enough job today.
(on why the Patriots offense stalled after the first couple of drives)
We just didn't execute. We got to watch the film to see the details of it, but at the end of the day we didn't execute and didn't do a good enough job.
(on allowing quarterback Tom Brady to get hit so many times)
Yeah, that's our job as an offensive line to not let that happen, so it's pretty frustrating.
(on the Patriots struggles on the road versus home)
You know, I mean, you got to show up and play wherever you are, and we didn't do that today. You know, it's frustrating, and the only thing we can do is go back to work this week. We still have six games left. We got to take advantage of this week off and get better, improve on a lot of things and come roaring out the gate these last six games.
(on if this is a good time for the Patriots bye week)
We just got to go out there and, you know, take advantage of this week. Got a lot to improve on, you know, so that's what we got to do.
(on if he saw this coming based on the Patriots week of practice)
No, we just didn't play good enough today; didn't execute. Thought we had a good game plan, but, you know, when push came to shove, we didn't go out there and execute it. You do that against a good football team, these are the results.
(on what the Titans did effectively on defense)
I mean, you know, there's always going to be something for every week. That's part of this game. When we're playing third-and-long, second-and-long and things like that, it kind of opens the floodgates and they can kind of play recess. And, they did a good job. You know, hey had a good scheme, they executed and we didn't.
(on allowing so many quarterback pressures)
You know, we just didn't execute. That's what it comes down to. You know, they're a good football team and credit to them. But at the end of the day, we didn't go out there and do our jobs.
WIDE RECEIVER JULIAN EDELMAN
(on whether you learn from a result like today's or just file it away)
You better learn from a game like this, because the weeks get harder and harder. That's a good football team. They're well coached and have good players. You tip your hat to them, but we got to go out and we've got to watch this film and we've got to fix it because this is when you start separating or you start falling behind.
(on the difference in the game)
We didn't execute and we got outplayed. They started fast and we didn't.
(on what the receivers could have done better to get open)
I've got to watch the film.
(on if the Titans dedicated extra defenders to the underneath routes)
I mean, sometimes. They mixed things up. Like I said, we got to evaluate the film and then talk to you Monday. We got outplayed and, you know, it's going to be a long ride home.
(on if losing by 24 points in Week 10 is especially concerning)
Any time you lose like that it's always concerning. You know, we've got a resilient bunch of guys and we're going to go back to work, take advantage of this week and that's what we'll do.
(on what he takes away from today's game)
I'm sorry we disappointed some of the fans that were out here for us. They're heavily populated here, but we got to go back to New England and get back to work.
(on moving on from today's loss)
Well, I mean, we got a bye week, so you're going to go into that bye week with a dirty taste in your mouth. So, you could either do well from it or you could tank it. So, we go out and take advantage of it this week, and I'm sure our coaches are going to have us ready. Guys going to be out there fiery and it's up to us.
(on his level of concern following today's loss)
I never said anything about concern. I just said we got outplayed. So, we got outplayed.
(on how his ankle feels)
We'll see tomorrow how it feels.
