Doug Farrar](http://nfl.si.com/2014/02/06/2014-nfl-mock-draft-teddy-bridgewater-3/3/)of Sports Illustrated shares his first 2014 NFL Mock Draft and believes the Patriots could select Texas Tech TEJace Amaro** with the 29th overall pick.
"Amaro was a yards-after-catch monster in college, lining up in the slot most of the time and creating nightmares for linebackers and safeties," notes Farrar.
Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com believes that Patriots third-year safety Tavon Wilson didn't show signs of on-field development last season. He logged just 18 regular season snaps on defense.
"Wilson has essentially become a core special teams player, making taking him in the second round last season look like a reach," writes Yates. "He doesn't have the requisite reactive athleticism to play as a deep, middle-of-the-field safety."
Frank Schwab of YAHOO! Sports shares his "Premature 2014 NFL Power Rankings." He puts the Patriots at No. 4 on the list.
"Give a 12-4 team Rob Gronkowski, Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo and others back, and you think they'll be worse? They do need to figure out a way to get free-agent cornerback Aqib Talib back," adds Schwab.
