Field Yates](http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4760334/scouts-view-brandon-lafell)of ESPNBoston.com believes that WRBrandon LaFell** could start at the "X" position for the Patriots next season after reports stated that the former Carolina Panther signed a three-year deal with New England over the weekend.

"Given the presence of Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and even Josh Boyce, LaFell may wind up playing more of a perimeter receiving role," writes Yates. "His size, field awareness on the sideline, and ability to use his reach to out leverage defenders make him a possibility to start at the "X" or split end position." READ MORE>>

Dan Graziano of ESPN.com reports that the New York Giants have expressed interest in free agent OL Ryan Wendell.

Walton, who started for the Broncos in 2010 and 2011 but hasn't played since early 2012 due to injury. They hope he can develop quickly, if not instantly, into their starting center. In case he can't, I believe they are talking to Kevin Boothe about a return. I also heard the name of former Patriots center Ryan Wendell earlier in the week, but he may have been a backup plan to Walton."  READ MORE>>
