Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com has some observations from OTAs with Malcom Brown off to a good start. He also has news of Jake Bequette getting some work at tight end.

The Patriots introduced some of their other rookies to the media on Thursday and Reiss has some impressions. Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe chats with Geneo Grissom.* The Globe's*Michael Whitmer says the rookies are already quite well versed in the Patriot Way when it comes to speaking with the media.

Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald talks to the rookie pass rushers, who know they have a long way to go. Howe also provides a notebook with some additional nuggets from the rookies.

The Providence Journal's Mark Daniels says OTAs signal the start of new season for a new team. Daniels also has a friendly rivalry developing between rookie offensive linemen Tre' Jackson and Shaq Mason.

NESN.com's Doug Kyed has*Matthew Slater talking about the benefits of OTAs. Also at NESN.com,Darren Hartwell *has news that Brandon Spikes is ready to unblock followers on Twitter and to be better in his second go with the Patriots.

In other news, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com has a report that indicates the Patriots and Saints will hold joint practices in West Virginia before the teams meet in Week 2 of the preseason in New Orleans.
