The Patriots final spring practice open to the media featured a couple of notable returns as Rob Gronkowski and Dion Lewis were among the 76 players in attendance. Both looked good in their first on-field work in front of reporters, and Lewis operated without a brace while admitting he was still shaking off some rust.
Gronkowski didn't look like he needed any adjustment time, telling the media afterward that he was looking to perfect some tricks for getting open. ESPNBoston.com says Lewis was hard on himself after practice.
While Gronkowski and Lewis dominated the headlines, the Patriots also welcomed back guard Shaq Mason, who will add another layer to the competition along the interior.
CSNNE.com believes the Patriots will handle injuries differently this year. They also have Gronk explaining how much Jimmy Garoppolo has developed over the last two years. Meanwhile, Tom E. Currancontinues his countdown of the top 100 plays that helped build a dynasty.
NESN.com has some offseason winners for the Patriots.
