News Blitz 6/17: Patriots sign QB Jacoby Brissett

All of the day's Patriots news in one convenient place.

The start of the NFL's so-called dark period is upon us and in turn there isn't a lot of Patriots news circulating around the league. The team did announce the dates for the start of training camp as well as some joint practices with New Orleans, and ESPNBoston.com has the details.

Perhaps the biggest news of the day was the signing of third-round pick Jacoby Brissett. The quarterback was the ninth and final New England draft pick to come to terms.

One national story appearing on ESPN.com has former Ravens safety and current Bills assistant coach Ed Reed talking about why his son likes the Patriots.
