Training camp is well underway and the action has been fast and furious in Foxborough. From charting the reps of Jimmy Garoppolo and Tom Brady to the antics of Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett, fans have certainly been treated to plenty of excitement thus far.
ESPNBoston.com was particularly interested in Gronkowski's big day on Sunday. The tight end sent a jolt of adrenaline throughout the team and the crowd on an otherwise dreary and rainy morning at Gillette Stadium. Gronk made several eye-popping catches, and instead of his trademark spike he decided to celebrate with some fans sitting nearby.
Speaking of Gronkowski, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, was in attendance on Sunday and led to some reports of a possible new contract being worked out for the tight end.
With the pads on over the weekend it was an opportunity to watch the offensive and defensive lines go at it. According to Jabaal Sheard, he and his mates got their butts kicked.
Always a must read, ESPNBoston.com offers 10 tidbits from around the league, including some thoughts on offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
Kevin Faulk, who will be inducted into the Hall at Patriot Place tonight, says he wouldn’t be surprised if Brady winds up working out with Wes Welker and Randy Moss during his suspension.
Finally, NESN.com has been impressed with Joe Thuney and believes the rookie third-round pick is making a strong case to earn the starting job at left guard.
