Tom Brady was in New York on Wednesday for a settlement hearing regarding Deflategate and by all accounts he enjoyed a good day withJudge Richard Berman. ESPNBoston.com'sMike Reiss has a summary of the day’s events.

The Boston Globe's Chris Gasper says Berman put some pressure on the NFL. CSNNE.com's Tom E. Curran says a settlement is still the first priority.

The Patriots will kick off the preseason tonight and Reiss take a look at those he believes will not play against the Packers. Shalise Manza Young believes Jimmy Garoppolo tops the list of things to watch tonight. The Boston Herald's Karen Guregianfeels it’s time for Garoppolo to prove himself.
