The Patriots were back it on Wednesday after taking their first day off of training camp the day before. The pads were back on as well, offering another opportunity to gauge the physicality and intensity up close.
One person who seems to be pleased with the action thus far is Bill Belichick. The coach has made several references to the quality of the roster already in camp, and on Wednesday it was the tight ends drawing some praise.

One of the tight ends Belichick spoke of was Martellus Bennett, who is developing a connection with Tom Brady during these early days of camp.
