Despite reports earlier this week to the contrary, the Week Seven game between New England and Denver scheduled for Oct. 28 will not move.
The league announced late Wednesday that the Indianapolis at Kansas City game for the 28th will be moved to Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8:30 p.m. That game will be televised on ESPN.
Also that week, the New York Giants game at Washington, originally scheduled for Sunday night at 8:30 on ESPN will now be played the same day at 4:15 p.m. on FOX.
These changes were made to avoid a conflict with Game 2 of the World Series, which was moved back a week following the attacks of September 11. The New York Giants at Washington game could not be re-scheduled for Thursday night, October 25 because the Giants play on Monday night, October 22. The NFL has traditionally played on the Thursday night preceding the start of the World Series rather than play Sunday night opposite the Series.
