Packers release wide receiver Boerigter

The Green Bay Packers released wide receiver Marc Boerigter. The Packers signed Boerigter on March 26 as an unrestricted free agent from Kansas City for $782,780 over one year.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (Aug. 22, 2006) -- The Green Bay Packers released wide receiver Marc Boerigter.

The Packers signed Boerigter on March 26 as an unrestricted free agent from Kansas City for $782,780 over one year. The contract contained a $90,000 signing bonus.

The 28-year-old only caught one pass for 19 yards in two preseason games.

Boerigter spent four seasons with the Chiefs, and had 39 receptions for 697 yards and eight touchdowns.
