"At the very least, it would seem the Pats have to consider reducing Brady's work load," writes Kenyon. "The quarterback threw the ball 637 times this season, the most in his career."

Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com ponders the possibility of Randy Moss as a free-agent option for the Patriots in 2013. Reports from Pro Football Talk state that Moss is interested in playing next season, and Reiss notes that Moss is still a vertical threat at wide receiver. "The Patriots' equivalent to Moss in terms of No. 3 role this past season was Deion Branch, who played almost the same percentage of snaps as Moss," writes Reiss. "He is also a free agent (key stats: 16 catches, 145 yards, 0 TDs)."

Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe writes that Tom Brady has been selected to the Sporting News' 2012 All-Pro team, which is chosen by 27 NFL coaches and team executives. He was the only Patriot on the list. "Earlier this month, Brady was third in Associated Press All-Pro voting, behind Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers," adds Manza Young.

Doug Kyed of NESN.com believes that DL Armond Armstead, who reportedly signed a future contract with the Patriots last week, could play a major role in the Patriots' future. "Armstead could be that player that they have sorely lacked the past few years," writes Kyed. "The former Trojan is fast for his size and offers impressive lateral quickness."

Christopher Price of WEEI.com discusses why Ravens safety Ed Reed makes sense as a free-agent option for the Patriots. "It's important to note that Reed is not a classic big hitter at safety," writes Price. "In truth, while Reed isn't that type of guy, he's the next best thing -- a hitter with cover skills."
