FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced that they have released DL Dominique Easley.
Easley, 23, is a veteran of two NFL seasons with the Patriots after joining the team as a first round draft pick (29th overall) out of Florida in the 2014 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 285-pounder, played in 22 games with three starts during his two years and finished with 24 tackles, three sacks and one interception. He missed the postseason in each of the last two seasons due to injury. Last season, Easley played in 11 games with two starts and had 15 tackles and two sacks before being placed on injured reserve on Dec. 15.
