FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Jan. 3, 2007) -- Patriots safety Rodney Harrison will miss the playoff game against the New York Jets.
Coach Bill Belichick made the announcement but didn't say whether Harrison would be available for future games if New England moves ahead in the playoffs. Harrison's right knee was injured in Week 17 when he was blocked by wide receiver Bobby Wade in a 40-23 win at Tennessee.
The NFL has ruled the block was legal.
Harrison was injured in his second game back after he sat out six games with a broken right shoulder blade. He also missed 13 games last season after hurting his left knee.
Running back Kevin Faulk could be back to face the Jets. He said his status is day-to-day. Faulk missed Week 17's game after hurting his knee one week earlier in a 24-21 win at Jacksonville.
