FOXBORO, Mass. -The New England Patriots signed running back Patrick Pass from their practice squad and waived guard Adam Davis, today.
Pass, 22, was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round (239th overall) of the 2000 NFL draft. He was released following training camp on Aug. 27, but was signed to the Patriots practice squad on Aug. 29.
The 5-foot-11-inch, 215-pounder earned four letters at Georgia (1996-99) and totaled 1,022 yards rushing on 221 carries (4.6 avg.), including five touchdowns. He also caught 35 passes for 435 yards (12.4 avg.) and two touchdowns. Pass returned 26 kickoffs for 562 yards (21.6 avg.) and 15 punts for 136 yards (9.1 avg.) during his college career.
Davis, 23, was originally signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent on April 19, 2000. The 6-foot-4-inch, 300-pound guard was listed among the Patriots inactives during the first two Patriots games. He was a four-year letterman at Oklahoma State (1996-99).
