FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots signed linebacker Kyle Bissinger and cornerback Gemara Williams to their practice squad today. Terms of the agreements were not disclosed. The Patriots practice squad now stands at its limit of eight players.
Bissinger, 24, was originally signed by the Patriots as an undrafted rookie free agent from Alabama-Birmingham on May 8, 2007. The 6-foot-3-inch, 250-pound linebacker was with the Patriots into this season's training camp and was released on Aug. 18, 2007.
Williams, 24, was originally signed by the Patriots as an undrafted rookie free agent from the University at Buffalo on May 8, 2006. The 5-foot-8-inch, 195-pound cornerback was placed on injured reserve by the Patriots on Sept. 2, 2006 and missed his rookie season due to injury. He was released by the Patriots on Aug. 18, 2007.
