Maye, 23, was originally signed by the N.Y. Giants as a rookie free agent out of Minnesota on May 6, 2016. The 5-foot-8, 191-pounder, was released by the Giants at the end of training camp and joined the Tennessee Titans practice squad on Dec. 28, 2016. He was released by Tennessee on May 19, 2017.
Maye played both wide receiver and running back for the Golden Gophers and returned kicks. He appeared in 52 games with 19 starts over his four year career and totaled 107 receptions for 1,190 yards and six receiving touchdowns. He also tallied 51 rushing attempts for 266 yards and two scores. On special teams, Maye returned 19 kickoffs for 317 yards and four punts for 56 yards. As a senior, he was an All Big-Ten honorable mention after catching 73 passes for 773 yards and five touchdowns. His 73 receptions rank second in school history for a single season.
