Round 4, Pick 106: Craig Woodson, S - California

Woodson_Craig

Michael Dussault, Patriots.com: While the team has depth, Woodson's addition brings unique potential to play as a free safety, complementing the other players who might be best suited playing closer to the line of scrimmage. His experience in multiple defensive roles aligns well with the Patriots' preference for adaptable players who can contribute in various packages. Given his special teams background, Woodson could also make immediate contributions in that phase of the game.

Evan Lazar, Patriots.com: The #Patriots draft Cal safety Craig Woodson with the 106th overall pick. Woodson has the ability to play the nickel and free safety. Like him to compete as a third safety to free-up Kyle Dugger and Jabrill Peppers.

Mark Daniels, MassLive: With pick 106 in the fourth round, the Patriots draft California safety Craig Woodson Woodson played the nickel and both safety spots in college. He had 70 tackles, nine pass breakups and two interceptions last year. More safety depth

Mike Reiss, ESPN:

Patriots have selected University of California S/CB Craig Woodson with their fourth-round pick (No. 106).

🏈 6-foot-0, 200 pounds

🏈 3-year starter (in college 6 seasons, 24 years old)

🏈 70 tackles, 9 PBU, 2 INT in '24

🏈 Has played safety, nickel and outside CB

🏈 Captain

Doug Kyed, The Boston Herald: Patriots select Cal S Craig Woodson 106th overall.

Brian Hines, Pats Pulpit: #Patriots fourth-round pick Craig Woodson was signaled out by @MoveTheSticks as one of his favorite late-round players on @PardonMyTake:

"One of those guys where I don't kind of know what I'm missing. Like he's got enough size. He takes the ball away. He ran the mid 4.4s. I talked to the guys at Cal like super smart great leader... Cal's been a sneaky good secondary factory over the years.

"He's one, I think to me, I have him like in the early mid third-round and maybe he goes in like the fifth-round when it's all said and done, but I think you'll look up and he'll be starting next year."

Taylor Kyles, CLNS: Craig Woodson could be considered a reach, but you take your guys on day 3, and he fits a need at safety/nickel while fitting the #Patriots mold for dependability with three seasons as a starter

@dpbrugler also reports in The Beast that NFL scouts say Woodson's an A-plus person

Round 4, Pick 137: Joshua Farmer, DT - Florida State

Farmer_Joshua

Michael Dussault, Patriots.com: Farmer, a 6'3", 305-pound lineman, brings a versatile skill set that should fit well into the Patriots new defensive front. He's powerful enough to play inside on passing downs but has the athleticism to shift outside against the run. Farmer's motor and ability to penetrate gaps align well with New England's emphasis on disruption along the defensive line.

Evan Lazar, Patriots.com: The #Patriots select Florida State DL Joshua Farmer after trading up to the No. 137. Farmer has great length (35-inch arms), good snap quickness, and pop into blocks.

A developmental defensive lineman for Terrell Williams and Mike Vrabel.

Alexandra Francisco, Patriots.com: Patriots select DT Joshua Farmer out of Florida State

Taylor Kyles, CLNS: Joshua Farmer is a disruptive IDL and one of my favorites in this draft

Also a team captain whose alpha attitude began to show last season, per @dpbrugler

Doug Kyed, The Boston Herald: Patriots DT Joshua Farmer fills a major need. Great length (35-inch arms) and good athleticism.

Mark Daniels, MassLive: Patriots DT Joshua Farmer fills a major need. Great length (35-inch arms) and good athleticism.

Mike Reiss, ESPN:

Patriots trade up with the Seahawks to the No. 137 pick. They select Florida State DT Joshua Farmer.

🏈 35-inch arm length and 83 3/8 wingspan

🏈 2-year starter

🏈 80 tackles (21 TFLs), 11 sacks

Round 5, Pick 146: Bradyn Swinson, EDGE - LSU

Swinson_Bradyn

Michael Dussault, Patriots.com: Swinson is a long, rangy edge rusher (6'4", 245 pounds) with a quick first step and solid bend around the corner. He has experience playing both as a stand-up outside linebacker and with his hand in the dirt, showing the kind of versatility that should help boost his chances of earning a role on defense.

Mike Kadlick, CLNS: Pats cookin'

Mark Daniels, MassLive: Patriots have really built some nice depth this offseason. After signing Harold Landry and K'Lavon Chaisson, they draft Bradyn Swinson in the fifth round.

Swinson was a projected third-round pick and was very productive for LSU last season

Mike Reiss, ESPN:

The Patriots select LSU OLB/edge Bradyn Swinson with their fifth-round pick (No. 146):

🏈 6-foot-3, 255 pounds

🏈 One-year starter (at Oregon before LSU)

🏈 58 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 2024

🏈 33 3/8" arm length and 81 1/4" wingspan

Mike Giardi, Boston Sports Journal: He's got some serious rush ability

Brian Hines, Pats Pulpit: Edge Bradyn Swinson. Was my top edge rusher remaining entering the day.

Taylor Kyles, CLNS: Fits the mold as an OLB in the #Patriots 3-3 scheme

Should immediatey factor in as a rotational rusher and could push K'Lavon Chaisson for snaps/a spot

Alex Barth, 98.5 The Sports Hub: Bradyn Swinson was projected by some to be a top-100 pick. Smart, technically advanced rusher at 6-foot-4, 255 pounds. Coming off of a productive season with 13 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks in 13 games.

Round 6, Pick 182: Andres Borregales, K - Miami

Borregales_Andres

Evan Lazar, Patriots.com: Borregales was the consensus best kicker in the draft. He's considered to be very accurate and consistent with a career 86% rate on field goals.

Adam Schefter, ESPN: At pick No. 182, the Patriots selected the first kicker to go in this draft, Miami's Andres Borregales.

Jeff Howe, The Athletic: The Patriots selected Miami kicker Andres Borregales in the sixth round. Could see that one coming. They were all over him at the Miami pro day. Borregales has a huge leg.

Taylor Kyles, CLNS: The #Patriots address their final glaring roster hole

Borregales overlapped with former Miami GM Alonzo Highsmith

Mike Reiss, ESPN:

The Patriots have selected Miami kicker Andres Borregales with their sixth-round pick (No. 182).

🏈 Four-year starter

🏈 2024 stats: 18/19 FGs (long of 56), 62/62 PATs

🏈 Joins Parker Romo on Patriots' roster at kicker

🏈 5-foot-11, 202 pounds

Round 7, Pick 220: Marcus Bryant, OT - Missouri

Marcus Bryant Missouri

Evan Lazar, Patriots.com: The #Patriots select Missouri OT Marcus Bryant with the 220th overall pick in the seventh round. Bryant is a big dude with good power in the run game. 6-7, 320 pounds, 34 5/8" arms.

Bryant started for Mizzou at left tackle last season.

Chad Graff, The Athletic: With the 220th pick (7th round), the Patriots selected OT Marcus Bryant, who played LT opposite Armand Membou at Missouri.

He's massive with great traits but needs developing. He's 6-foot-7 with long arms and great explosiveness. The kind of guy you take a chance on late.

Mike Kadlick, CLNS: The #Patriots selected Missouri OT Marcus Bryant at pick No. 220.

Armand Membou's bookend tackle for the Tigers last season.

Mark Daniels, MassLive: With pick 220 in the seventh round the Patriots draft OT Marcus Bryant from Missouri A 6-foot-7, 320 pound tackle with 34 5/8 inch arms. He started at left tackle last season

Mike Reiss, ESPN:

The Patriots select Missouri OT Marcus Bryant with their initial seventh-round pick (No. 220):

🏈 6-foot-7, 320 pounds

🏈 34 5/8" arm length, 83 1/8 wingspan

Round 7, Pick 251: Julian Ashby, LS - Vanderbilt

julian-ashby

Evan Lazar, Patriots.com: The #Patriots drafted long-snapper Julian Ashby from Vanderbilt with the 251st pick in the seventh round.

Alex Barth, 98.5 The Sports Hub: From @LanceZierlein on Julian Ashby: "Undersized but highly accurate snapper with good operation quickness in getting the ball to his punter. Ashby appears to be the best long snapper in the draft class, but he might have to make an NFL roster as an undrafted free agent."

Mike Garafalo, NFL Network: The #Patriots take Vanderbilt long snapper Julian Ashby at 251, the first snapper drafted since 2021. There was going to be a bidding war for his services as an undrafted free agent. New England picks him instead.

Mike Reiss, ESPN:

The Patriots select Vanderbilt long snapper Julian Ashby with their seventh-round pick (No. 251).

🏈 6-foot-1, 231 pounds

🏈 Recently visited him in Tennessee for a private workout

🏈Competition for Joe Cardona, the team's longest-tenured player.

Mark Daniels, MassLive: With pick 251 in the seventh round, the Patriots draft long snapper Julian Ashby from Vanderbilt

Round 7, Pick 257: Kobee Minor, DB - Memphis

Adam Schefter, ESPN: The final pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, pick No. 257 that belonged to the Patriots, was used on Memphis CB Kobee Minor.

Mike Reiss, ESPN:

🏈 5-foot-11, 188 pounds

🏈 First Texas Tech, then Memphis

He's your Mr. Irrelevant!
