Patriots tight ends Rob and Dan Gronkowski left Foxboro early in the morning for an exciting day at the Patriots Rhode Island License Plate Distribution Event at Hope Jackson Fire Company in Hope, R.I on November 1. During a special ceremony at noon, the Gronkowski brothers, alongside Pro Football and Patriots Hall of Famer Andre Tippett presented a donation from NEPCF in the amount of $2,500 to Crossroads of Rhode Island, a non-profit organization that assist the homeless and disconnected on their journey towards a better quality of life. The donation was made possible through the Patriots Rhode Island license plate program.
After the ceremony, the garage doors of the Hope Jackson Fire Company officially opened to R.I residents eagerly waiting outside to receive their new license plates. As the lines formed, the first 25 guests were entered into a special raffle with an opportunity to win a Tom Brady autographed football. And a surprise, Rob, Dan and Foundation representatives personally delivered the new license plates to the excited Patriots Fans in attendance.
"It's great to help out the community, and we are blessed to be athletes here in New England with such great fans," Said Rob. "It's fun to get to know these volunteer fire fighters here at the Hope Jackson Fire Company. And it's great to help raise money for these non-profits. It's also great to be here giving back with my brother."
Patriots plates cost $41.50, with $21.50 going to the RI general fund and $20.00 going to the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation earmarked for charitable and philanthropic agencies in Rhode Island.
