FOXBORO, Mass.—The New England Patriots waived rookie linebacker T.J. Turner today, reducing the roster to 52 players.

             FOXBORO, Mass.—The New England Patriots waived rookie linebacker T.J. Turner today, reducing the roster to 52 players.

Turner, 23, was drafted by the Patriots with their second of two seventh-round picks in the 2001 NFL draft, 239th overall. The 6-foot-3-inch, 255-pound Michigan State product was inactive for six of the first eight games for the Patriots this season. He appeared in two games early in the season and recorded three special teams tackles.
