The Patriots afternoon practice came to a disappointing end a short time ago as outside linebacker Marques Murrell was carted off the field as the opportunity portion of the workout was coming to an end. Murrell has lined up opposite Tully Banta-Cain in each of the last three practices, including both sessions against the Saints today, and appeared to be making a push for additional reps. It is unknown what caused Murrell to be forced to the cart, but anytime a player leaves the field under those conditions it's not generally a good sign.
