We're breaking down the top segments from Thursday's edition of the PFW in Progress radio show so you don't miss a thing. Hit play on the podcast above and forward to the segments indicated below to listen.

0:02:00 -Today's PFW In Progress was truly a "very special" edition as Fred Kirsch executed a near flawless solo show. With Andy, Paul, and Erik at the Patriots joint practices with the New Orleans Saints in West Virginia, Fred was left alone to hold the fort.

0:05:00 -Fred began the show talking about the apology ESPN issued late last night on SportsCenter. ESPN anchor Steve Levy announced the network's apology to the Patriots organization at roughly 12:20 AM late last night. For Patriots fans and listeners to PFWIP the timing and length of the apology was insufficient.

0:15:00 -PFWIP co-host Paul Perillo phoned in on the Ace Ticket Hot-line. Paul and Andy Hart were driving from the Greenbrier practice facility in West Virginia to Dulles airport outside of Washington DC. Paul shared his thoughts on today's joint practices between the Patriots and Saints. Hopefully the boys have a quick and easy journey back to Boston.

0:37:00 - Eldridge in North Carolina checked in with Fred on the Ace Ticket Hot-Line. Per usual the topic of conversation shifted to the Patriots needs at the wide receiver position. Eldridge and Fred praised Patriots special teams ace Matthew Slater for his performance thus far in camp filling in as pass catcher.

1:03:00 - Chester in Portland, Oregon called into the show bringing his trademark energy. Chester spoke for the PFWIP Facebook page in stating the group wants to hear more from "Chris with a TIAN". During Fred's last solo show Christin helped Fred out as a special guest co-host and impressed the fans of the show with his Patriots knowledge and witty humor.

1:15:00 - The topic of conversation shifted back to the ESPN apology from late last evening. Fred feels that ESPN as a network has no bias against the Patriots, but that some of the on-air personalities display prejudice against New England.

1:41:00 - Long time celebrity fan of the show Paulie in LA checked in with Fred on the Ace Ticket Hot-Line. Paulie and Fred discussed this year's edition of HBO's hit series "Hard Knocks". The discussion focused on the Texans ball boys prepping game balls for their first pre season game and how in depth the process was.
