For the first time since 2008, the Patriots won't have any compensatory picks in the NFL Draft. The extra choices are awarded based on a convoluted formula that takes into account the value of free agents lost and signed in the previous offseason. Apparently, the league felt that New England's loss of TE Benjamin Watson was nullified by the signing of Alge Crumpler at the same position.
