KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 6, 2005) -- Running back Priest Holmes was inactive for Kansas City 's game against Oakland, along with several other key starters.
Holmes, the Chiefs' leading rusher, sustained a mild concussion at San Diego last week. He flew to California to see Dr. Robert Watkins, a spine surgeon who has examined many athletes, including Kansas City Royals' first baseman Mike Sweeney.
Holmes was back with the team Nov. 5. Coach Dick Vermeil has said he does not believe Holmes' injury will sideline him for long.
Also inactive were the Chiefs' best offensive lineman, tackle Willie Roaf, and No. 1 cornerback Patrick Surtain.
Raider wide receiver Randy Moss, who was hobbled much of the week, was active.
